There are many volunteer roles needed to keep the club running. Consider how you may be able to assist in the operation of the club. We welcome your participation. The parent/family volunteer is the biggest resource the club has!!
How many volunteer hours do I need to contribute this season?
How do I build volunteer hours?
Volunteering at club hosted competitions- Club events and activity planning- Gift wrapping (Organizing and Participating)
Each athlete and their family will have several opportunities to participate in fundraising activities. Parents/families are asked to choose fundraisers throughout the season to participate in.
We recognize that there are many organizations raising money and we will try to select our fundraising activities to ensure the most profitable return for our efforts. A few our favourite annual fundraisers include: Purdy’s Chocolates, Davison Orchards Apple Fundraiser, and Holiday Gift Wrapping.
As a non-profit organization, the Kamloops Sunrays is supported largely by dedicated volunteers. We also require external funding through grants and sincerely appreciate organizational sponsorships that help ensure the success of the club.
There are many costs associated with running a small club. From pool fees, to travel, to uniforms and much more. Without adequate sponsorships we are not able to successfully run our Provincial and National level programs. Contributions from sponsors will be used directly in the building of our athletes.
We are part of the National Sport Trust Fund project and can provide tax receipts for donations.
We sincerely thank all of our sponsors who contribute at the various levels:
To deliver the highest quality training to our athletes we rely in part on the support of our partners, who provide monetary sponsorship and in-kind support.
